Program Coordinator – Full Time
Our ideal candidate will have a degree and experience in Science or Education, be computer literate with strong math, written and verbal communication skills. Will be able to teach educational programs, maintain schedules, oversee the use of educational electronic equipment and direct summer camp and vacation programs. Gift Shop Supervisor - Full Time
Benefited position requiring excellent customer service and supervisor skills at our unique and beautiful gift shop at The Maritime Aquarium. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word required. Position will be responsible for retail sales goals, guest relations, general accounting work, shop appearance and cleanliness. Should be able to work a varied schedule including weekends, and occasional holidays. Competitive wage will be commensurate with skills, experience and ability to perform job responsibilities. Summer Camp Counselors wanted July 7-Aug. 22.
Must have valid certification as a lifeguard with waterfront module plus current first aid and CPR. Must be available for all-day Camp All Staff meeting on Sat. June 21st. USCG Licensed Vessel Captain—Part Time
Captain needed for the R/V Oceanic, The Maritime Aquarium's 40' educational and research vessel. The USCG licensed vessel operates in the vicinity of Norwalk Harbor conducting educational cruises for students and families. Must hold USCG 50 T + license and pass chemical screening test. Educators - Part Time
Seeking outgoing, energetic people with some teaching experience and a degree/experience in biology, education or marine science to present educational programs, including on-site, travel outreach and possibly on our research vessel, Oceanic. Flexible hours, some weekends or late afternoons may be required. Must have valid drivers license with satisfactory driving record and able to lift 60 lbs. of equipment. Birthday Party Program Guides - Part Time (Multiple Openings)
Want to be paid to party? We offer birthday parties for up to 25 children, ages 4-12 at The Maritime Aquarium on Saturdays and Sundays. Reliable, patient candidates are needed to compliment our staff in making each party memorable for the participants. Familiarity with The Aquariums collection of animals and exhibits helpful.
