Sand Tiger Shark Fun Fact

Looks closely at the sand tiger sharks in the "Ocean Beyond the Sound" exhibit. Their snout and jaws are covered in tiny holes. These are receptors for the sharks' "sixth sense" – their ability to detect bioelectric fields emitted by other animals (including potential prey).

Educators, teachers and administrators are all welcome. This is a professional event, no spouses or children please. We encourage you to bring a fellow teacher, however each educator must make his or her own unique reservation. One form per attendee.

If you cannot bring your students to the Aquarium, ask how our Traveling Teachers can bring the Aquarium to your classroom.
