Blue crabs are good swimmers. Their specially adapted pair of back legs are "swimmerets" that help move them effectively through the water.

Sea Turtles

green-turtles3-photoThe aquarium passageway concludes at Sea Turtles, a 10,000-gallon tank featuring a loggerhead turtle and two young green sea turtles.

Displays discuss all the endangered sea turtle species, as well as turtle migration and conservation. These magnificent travelers are found in Long Island Sound in the summer months as they ride the Gulf Stream gyre.
