Sand Tiger Shark Fun Fact
Looks closely at the sand tiger sharks in the "Ocean Beyond the Sound" exhibit. Their snout and jaws are covered in tiny holes. These are receptors for the sharks' "sixth sense" – their ability to detect bioelectric fields emitted by other animals (including potential prey).
Spotlight Days
These special focus days feature a series of self-directed and educator-led learning stations set up throughout the Aquarium between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Note: There is an additional $2.50 fee per person for group admission into the Aquarium during these days.

Because of construction of our cool new exhibits (to open in February 2012), we will not be able to offer “Spotlight on Whales & Other Endangered Species” during the 2011-12 school year. Look for these specially focused days to return for 2012-13.
