A Sukkah for Sukkot

Sukkah-at-Aquarium

The Maritime Aquarium is taking special steps to help our many Jewish friends celebrate the Festival of Sukkot Oct., 8-15.

We have erected a traditional dwelling – called a sukkah – in which Jewish visitors can eat, snack and rest during the seven-day celebration.

Special thanks to Rabbi Levi Stone of the Schneerson Center for Jewish Life in Westport for helping us plan for the12-by-20-foot sukkah, which is outside the seal exhibit on our riverfront courtyard.
