Shark-Diving Santa!

Date:  Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays in December

Time: 12:15 and 2:15 p.m.

Price: Free with Aquarium admission

On Nov. 28 & 29, and then on select dates in December, Santa Claus and sometimes Mrs. Claus join The Maritime Aquarium’s dive team demonstrating that sharks aren’t the blood-thirsty killers of myth.

Santa straps on scuba gear and enters the Aquarium’s 110,000-gallon “Ocean Beyond the Sound” exhibit, home to 7-foot sand tiger and lemon sharks.

It’s all part of the regular dive program, where Aquarium visitors can see – and talk with – divers swimming in the exhibit on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 12:15 & 2:15 p.m.

Be sure to bring your camera and get a photo of your kids posing with our "Shark-Diving Santa" at the exhibit window for a most unique holiday memory.

Mission: The Maritime Aquarium inspires people of all ages to appreciate and protect the Long Island Sound ecosystem
and the global environment through
living exhibits, marine science, and environmental education.
