Sensory-Friendly Morning

Dates:  Sun., Nov. 6, from 8 a.m. - noon

For some, the Aquarium is a place with too many stimuli. So we occasionally offer special mornings to give guests with sensory-processing differences a fun, comfortable and accepting environment. We also open two hours early and offer special IMAX® movie presentations.

"Turkeyfish Weekend"

Dates:  Nov. 12 & 13

Cost:  activities free with admission

Learn about – and taste! – the lionfish, an invasive species that is nicknamed the turkeyfish because its long venomous spines look something like a male turkey displaying its plumage. As we start thinking about Thanksgiving and turkey dinners, it seems a good time to focus on the issues caused by turkeyfish and other invasive species … and let you sample some turkeyfish ceviche (while supplies last).
