Tell Us Your BIG Fish Stories!

Send in your photos, videos and stories about fishing in Long Island Sound!

Be a part of our new exhibit, GO FISH! Long Island Sound & Beyond

The Maritime Aquarium is working on its next major exhibit and we need your help! We want to hear your fish stories of Long Island Sound – about the one that got away, or the one that didn’t get away.

This new exhibit, scheduled to open in February, will feature large game fish from Long Island Sound, while exploring the relationship and connections we have with fish and fishing in the Sound. The highlight of the exhibit will be a new 30,000-gallon tank, which will become the second-largest in the Aquarium.

Did you catch a scale-tipping striped bass two days after the tournament? Did your grandson haul in a keeper suitable for the taxidermist on his first time out? Is your family tired of hearing your incredible fish tales? Share your adventures by submitting photos, videos and stories for consideration in the new exhibit.

Both digital and print photos will be accepted. Mail a CD or a print, or email a file. If sending a print, please send copies, not originals, as you will not get the submission back. Video should be digital on CD or DVD, in one the following formats: MPEG-4, DV or .mov.

Include:
• Your name and email address or other contact information
• Date/time of the photo or video
• Location of the photo or video. This can be as specific as GPS coordinates or as simple as, “300 yards west of Cockenoe Island.”
• Optional hand-written or typed story that goes with your photo - no longer than one paragraph.

Please read our Submission and Usage Policy before sending any material.
