It's all within an easy walk of the [train] station too – including The Maritime Aquarium, the one relatively new building in the group and the one that enables grownups to enjoy browsing and shopping while still entertaining the children."

Sea Star Fun Fact

Try not to call these cool shoreline creatures "starfish." Sea stars aren't fish, so the proper name is "sea star."  (Similarly, call them jellies, not jellyfish.)

Crowds

We can accommodate quite a few guests comfortably in our Aquarium, which was built in a former Iron Works factory from the 1860s. However, if you prefer a quieter visit, typically later in the day is best. School groups and summer camp groups usually leave the Aquarium by 2 or 3 p.m.  Summer months, and whenever school is out, are our busiest times.

Bypass the Line:  Buy your tickets online!  There's no extra processing fee. But be sure to add IMAX at the time of your purchase to save $ with the Discount Combo tickets. Discounts are not available if you make your IMAX purchase subsequently separately.
