Aquarium Happenings

Great Backyard Bird Count

The Maritime Aquarium is proud to be participating in the 23rd annual "Great Backyard Bird Count"

On February 14 through 17, join Aquarium educators for guided bird walks along the Norwalk River!  Guests will be provided with binoculars and picture ID guides. During the walk, guests will help collect data including species of waterfowl and songbirds seen and quantities. Data collected from each walk will be logged for the project at www.birdcount.org.

In addition to bird walks, aquarium guests can stop by Newman's Own Hall to create eco-friendly ice cream cone birdfeeders and learn more about how to ID birds, create bird homes and more.

Participants must be 42" tall to participate in the walks. Walks are free with Aquarium admission.
