The Maritime Aquarium Welcomes New Harbor Seals

The Maritime Aquarium is celebrating the New Year with some new faces. This week, adult harbor seals Feisty and Gracie were introduced to the aquarium’s largest exhibit, Pinniped Cove.   Both seals came to The Maritime Aquarium from ABQ BioPark in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Norwalk Public Schools & The Maritime Aquarium Celebrate $1.3 Million in Federal Funding to Advance STEM Education

Norwalk Public Schools and The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk today announced they received $1,323,660 in federal funding, secured by Congressman Jim Himes in the Fiscal Year 2023 omnibus appropriations agreement, to create a K-12 Marine Science Pathway for students.  The K-12 Marine Science Pathway builds on the district and Aquarium’s successful four-year Marine Science Academy, created at Norwalk’s Brien McMahon High school in 2019.
